You’d Like Me More-[Axel and Lolo]

Now more than ever, it’s extremely imperative that we do everything we can to preserve real and authentic art. The world is moving fast; Technology is growing more and more, but within the madness of an ever-evolving society, there are people who continue to push society forward when it comes to artistic expression. Today, making their debut on Lyrical Lemonade is a duo who is doing just that. If you’re reading this, I’m not sure what you favorite song is at the current moment, but my goal by the end of this article is to at least persuade you to make room for something new and worth your while.

Axel and Lolo are two names you’ll begin to see more of on out platform, simply because these two individuals are the reason why I work in music in the first place. If you’ve followed my writing, then you’d know that I can only bring myself to put words together when I’m inspired by something and judging by the fact that you’re reading my words should be enough to let you all know that I’m moved on a deep level. This exciting and enigmatic duo just recently released a song called “You’d Like Me More” and it truly is one of the best songs I’ve heard this year alone. I know those are lofty words, but from the moment you press play on this indie-pop fever dream, you’ll know exactly what I mean. I find myself praising this track for different reasons each time I try to justify my love for it and I think that just speaks to the multi-faceted talent that these two Berklee College of Music students possess. From the vocal gifting, to the songwriting, all the way to the intentionally executed melody choice and harmonies, “You’d Like Me More” is a song that is so easy to listen to, while at the same, demands your utmost attention to decipher each word and line.

I’m in the business of good music and Axel and Lolo are creating that with ease. “You’d Like Me More” is a triumph and I’m so stoked to be able to share it with out wider audience here at LL. I’ve attached the Spotify link down below to the song, so give this one a listen and let us know what you think!
