I have the privilege to introduce a majority of you to Ryan Anderson aka Rhino, yet another new and dope artist out of this musical Renaissance in Chicago. I first met Ryan at Lyrical Lemonade’s second cypher, he introduced himself as a video game designer, so initially I wasn’t even sure if he was going to rap. Boy was I wrong, as he had one of my favorites verses in the nearly hour long cypher, you can catch him spitting at the forty-five minute mark. I for one am very excited to hear Rhino’s forthcoming project titled “Gene Therapy,” which will include this single titled “XY.” Rhino’s approach & style is very unique, he goes as far to describe his music as “a mixture of a poetic drifting consciousness that often dwells even obsesses over the fundamentals of human nature, life, and what some may call the existence of existence itself.” Pretty deep stuff, and very interesting if you ask me, take a listen below & decide for yourself.
