You can search for new music all day long, but once you hear something special, it’s such a gratifying feeling. That is exactly how I felt today when I discovered Ruru on Spotify, it didn’t take more than a couple of dozen seconds for me to start enjoying this one. The second that the instrumental came in, I liked where this one was heading, but once she jumped onto the beat with her beautiful vocals, I was sold! Ruru is from the Philippines and creates music that I would consider to be a mix of pop/alternative, but more important than what genre I would consider it, it’s ear-pleasing material. I know very little about Ruru considering the fact that I just discovered her music, but I will be digging into the catalog in hopes of finding more heat, and I suggest you do the same.
