Who To Camp-Out For: Pitchfork Music Festival

As Summer begins in Chicago, the abundance of summer events (such as music festivals) kicks off as well. With Pitchfork’s annual music festival coming up within the month, we thought we’d give you a heads-up as to who you should look out for at this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival. Be sure to check out the line-ups below to give them a look for yourself.

FRIDAY

Friday was definitely one of my personal favorite days. A couple of names that stood out on here were the always-wild Danny Brown, Vince Staples of the Long Beach area, and Kamaiyah – a powerful voice for young women everywhere that found herself on the 2017 XXL Freshman list this year. Three artists that don’t have many performances in Chicago, so be sure to capitalize on these opportunities.

SATURDAY

Saturday came in hot as well, with a handful of artists that may interest you. Some names in particular that caught my eye were the unique Francis and the Lights, the legendary Madlib, as well as the classic hip-hop group, A Tribe Called Quest. These names, especially Tribe, are extremely rare performances to get a chance to see so do yourself a favor and be sure you’re in attendance.

SUNDAY

Sunday was packed with awesome artists pleasing a wide-variety of musical tastes. Some artists you want to be in touch with on the 16th will be Chicago-native Jamila Woods, Save Money’s Joey Purp, TDE’s Isaiah Rashad, as well as the Destiny’s Child-acquaintance Solange. A jam-packed day nonetheless, with performances from two Chicagoans.
