I’ve covered a few different artists who took advantage of different live-performance platforms from coast-to-coast but one of the strongest and most consistent outlets has been Wikid Films’ ‘LiveBox’ freestyle series that pits artists from Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, and even Missouri in an intimate setting to share their stories and rhymes with an eager and sizable fanbase who have watched Wikid assist dozens of Memphis artists reach the spotlight with his music videos. Honcho Bilzal recently made an appearance on the platform and the Arkansas rapper immediately caught my attention with his raspy southern-drawl and the fever-pitched flow that he steamrolls over the classic Three Six Mafia instrumental with. Honcho has had several appearances now on Wikid’s platform as well as having released many music videos which also showcase his talents, proving to be one of the most consistent artists from Arkansas and I personally will be tapped into his movement from here on out.
