Wheels – [Josh Pan] [Dylan Brady]

While vocals highlight the personal skill of an artist, I would argue that the prominence of sonics in any given song is certainly underrated, as these sonics often indicate just how well an artist knows and understands their sound/skillset. For Josh Pan and Dylan Brady, this is clearly no problem, as the duo’s latest offering, “Wheels,” highlights their seamless chemistry and damn-near flawless ability to pick just the right sound for just the right styles.

Delving a bit further into this idea, the best support of these claims is shown in the way that the shifts in the instrumental reflect dynamic changes in the sentiments of the lyrics. As the introspection gets more intense, so does the beat, and just the same, things lighten up when the lyrics become less intense during the chorus and are brought back to a central point for us all to resonate with. Needless to say, the pairing between Josh Pan and Dylan Brady makes perfect sense, as these two certainly know how to craft a song that can captivate listeners without a problem.

I could talk about this song all day, but I’ll just let you check it out for yourself at the link provided below. Enjoy!

P.S. — Keep an eye out for Pan and Brady’s forthcoming collaborative effort, This Car Needs Some Wheels, due out for release on 3/14!
