Surging out of Bessemer, AL is Big Petty, also known as TLE Petty, who has been coming with a steady supply of music videos over the course of the entire pandemic and is really beginning to find his sound and his latest Lightning Visuals directed video for his track “Way 2 Solid” is easily my favorite track from the young rapper yet. Tallmoney supplied the beat which’s harmonic vocal sample makes for a regal background for Petty to talk his shit and open up more on this track lyrically than he has on previous efforts. This new video is coming on the heels of another song of of Petty’s TLE affiliate Lil Craccrocc’s new mixtape that Petty walked all over in such a fashion that lets me know he has turned a corner creatively and I am really excited to hear a full Big Petty project soon as well as hear him continue to evolve his sound and experiment more with the instrumentals he picks.
