In an age where output often takes precedence over quality, it’s always refreshing to hear artists put their artistic vision over numbers and algorithms, especially when they’re first coming up. Today, this is the case with a highly-skilled act by the name of Shéli and her brand new single, “Wait For Me” (which, by the way, I found thanks to @gregisonfire and his latest Greg Put Me On playlist). Equipped with a silky smooth instrumental, this offering balances the dreamy effects of Shéli’s vocals with a sea of fitting melodies, all of which help make “Wait For Me” as passionate as possible. The sound here is pretty enough to give you goosebumps, but just in case you were looking for even more, right around 1:40, the song’s direction switches over to a stellar feature verse, offering a different, yet equally entertaining style that complements Shéli’s vocals perfectly.
