Two of DMV’s most shining upcoming stars collab on “It Ain’t Safe.”

I’ve written about both Matt McGhee and LB199X recently, and the two, with little disparity between them, have impressed me, and a couple friends I’ve put on, immensely.

The two have unique sounds that make their work stand out, so as the case with this new joint, “It Ain’t Safe.”

Riddled with articulate lyrics and witty punches, LB starts it off with a swift, to-the-point verse in which you’ll see exactly why I’m a fan. He maneuvers the beat masterfully, with intricate flow switches that keep listeners on their toes. Matt McGhee joins late, with an equally impressive verse that adds his own distinct sound to the piece, a little extra flavor that shows why the two pairing up on this was essential.

It’s accompanied by a Visualizer, something we’re starting to see more consistently, and something that I’m a fan of. Keep tabs on these two DMV artists going forward, ether future success will be of no surprise to me.
