Tug [DA POP] x [Jovian]

Da Pop is a 3-piece band comprised of Roberto Hidalgo (vocals/keys/drums), Robert Marcello (guitar/vocals) and Jesse Serrano (bass/vocals). The New York raised musicians and producers formed Da Pop in 2017, and have since then expanded their arsenal within a broad scope of genres. Whether it’s rock, pop, indie or R&B, the diversity of their discography creates an impressive balance between artistic evolution and complete understanding of core fundamental talent. The band recently released a smooth alt-pop single entitled “Tug,” and it’s absolutely fantastic in every way. With an infectious, ear-warming serenade exploring transparency within relationships, the track sheds light on both the highs and lows that naturally occur during the process of exchanged openness. The soft-textured, summer inviting production pairs perfectly with the romantic lyrics sung, as well as the unmissable epicness of each guitar chord. Last but not least, featured R&B hip-hop artist Jovian does quite well to tone down his rap flow to align with the introspective vibe throughout, which is led by captivating TR-808 drum percussion.
