It’s been a minute since we have received some new material from the Uptown legend Wemmymo, but all of that nonsense came to an end today as he released a new record titled “Tip Toe”. I have told Wemmy time and time again that I believe that he shines best when he rhymes over soulful production, however, he does tend to snap over hard-hitting instrumentals just like the one here handled by DJ Balor. Wemmymo gave us two minutes straight of nothing but straight bars, although an awesome beat switch up toward the middle of the song forced him to change his flow a bit to a more melodic approach. It’s great to see Wemmy finishing the year out strong, I am sure that this momentum will lead directly into 2021, which will prove to be a pivotal year for Wem in his career.
