THIB – [Isaiah Rashad]

Although Top Dawg Entertainment might have been put on the map thanks to superstars like Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, SZA, and numerous other names on their roster, there isn’t a single weak link on their lineup, making any release they put out as magnificent as it gets. One artist who I think doesn’t get nearly enough credit is Isaiah Rashad, but he is obviously one of the most captivating emcees in the entire industry, and this is apparent no matter what song you listen to or what video you watch.

Back in July, he dropped off his album The House is Burning, a project that contains 16 songs that last almost 50 minutes long and boasts features such as label mates like Jay Rock and SZA as well as other guest spots from artists including Lil Uzi Vert, Duke Deuce, Smino, 6LACK, and many more. While this project is the cream of the crop, in my opinion, I am always down for additions to an album’s legacy, so when I realized he dropped a visual for the project’s penultimate track “THIB”, I didn’t waste another moment and headed right to the drawing board in order to write it up.

With creative direction from Heirs Entertainment and Psycho Films, things open up with Isaiah sitting in bed at night as the house begins to shake before it full-on explodes, sending Isaiah floating through the streets to check out all the nightcrawlers hanging out outside. As he passes through the neighborhood, he sees people gambling, drug addicts looking for their next fix, and some shady characters robbing individuals, amongst a variety of other people who provide some wild personalities to the offering.

Other shots include fish-eye lensed scenes, mirrors, and a plethora of other edits that bring this video to the next level, making it a music video you need to check out immediately. Isaiah Rashad is only getting better with each and every release he puts out into the world, so don’t sleep any longer and experience this visual for yourself before giving The House is Burning a listen as well.
