The Wolf of Peachtree 2 – [Pi’erre Bourne] & [Jelly]

It’s hard to believe that two years have passed since Pi’erre Bourne & Jelly created their collab tape The Wolf of Peachtree – a hard-hitting and tightly-woven tape home to bangers like “Karma” and “Gang” with PDE Escobar. Today our prayers are finally answered, and our two kings return today with The Wolf of Peachtree 2 – the long-awaited sequel. Last week fans were treated to a small taste of the project in the form of “Bubble Gum” featuring Juicy J, a track that sees the three artists delivering a minimalistic banger instilled with the classic Memphis sound that Juicy J helped popularize. This week we are delivered the whole project, a 12-track epic decorated with high-energy performances from Jelly, and surprisingly minimalistic mixes from Pi’erre. Like “Bubble Gum”, many of the tracks on The Wold of Peachtree 2 feature a bit of Southern flavor which is a refreshing surprise from the Atlanta-via-Columbia producer. From the futuristic bounce of “WYA” to the off-kilter percussion of “Mumble Jumble”, Pi’erre and Jelly prove that lightning can strike twice – even if there is a fair amount of risk-taking involved. With more music and visuals hopefully planned for the near future, you can bet that like its predecessor, The Wolf of Peachtree 2 is sure to stay in rotation for the upcoming summer.
