The Plastics EP – [Joseph Chilliams]

Just days after dropping the video for “Karen’s Song”, Joseph Chilliams releases his new EP “The Plastics” today which includes two previously released singles along with two new songs. The project and its tracks’ titles all reference the movie Mean Girls, as the PIVOT Gang member offers his reimagining of the film in true Chilliams style. Like always, the Chicago rapper puts his sharp sense of humor on full display, offering bars like “I love you like Pusha T love cook crack, especially when you say my hair looks sexy when it’s pushed back”. Sen Morimoto is featured heavily throughout, and the Chicago musician offers his dreamy, dynamic production for Chilliams to float over. Behind the laughable bars, “The Plastics” serves as a reminder of Chilliams’ sheer talent as a lyricist, as he blurs elements of the Mean Girls storyline with his own storytelling in a hazy whirlwind of flows. Stream the EP below and also keep an eye out for Joseph Chilliams’ set at Mamby on the Beach this weekend:
