The God Hour – [A$AP Ant] ft. [A$AP Rocky]

It may surprise you to know this, but my favorite member of A$AP Mob has been A$AP Ant for as long as I can remember. While you and your friends may have been out blasting “Electric Body” or “Margiela Madman”, I was in my room blasting “Pharrell” at every available opportunity. One of the most traumatic moments of my life occurred when I saw A$AP Mob perform, and the kid that A$AP Ant pulled from the audience to perform “Finances” didn’t know a single word. Today everything changes, and the pain of the past is washed away with A$AP Ant’s newest single “The God Hour”. Joined alongside A$AP Rocky, our hero returns on a triumphant new banger keen on putting A$AP Mob’s stamp on 2022.

Released alongside a trippy Geerten Harmens-directed visual, “The God Hour” is a melancholic love letter to cloud-rap in its finest form. Ant and Rocky deliver some of the best performances in recent memory over lush string swells and futuristic synth melodies perfectly-tuned for your spring playlist. “The God Hour”‘s visual deserves its flowers too, with trippy AI hallucinations popping up so frequently that it may as well serve as Enter The Void‘s unofficial sequel. “The God Hour” is the debut single from what will technically be A$AP Ant’s debut studio LP, and if this banger is any indication of things to come, fans are in for a treat this year. With more music and visuals likely coming down the pipeline, you’d be wise to keep A$AP Ant on your radar.
