The Come Up – [$hermbug]

San Jose, California rapper $hermbug recently dropped visuals for his fast-paced anthem “The Come Up” and it’s nothing short of impressive. If his face looks familiar to you then you’re right he’s the nephew of Kimbo Slice. Fans of the California and Detroit soundscapes will notice that their production sounds have been blending within the past two years. This is what I like to call “getting money rap” or “getting fly raps.” This is some good ole I’m sliding around in the car or getting dressed to go somewhere music but at the same time it’s also inspirational and motivational. $hermbug states via email, “The meaning of the song is to never give up on your dreams and to keep mashing forward.” He also states, “It’s also to show love to his uncle the late great Kimbo Slice while keeping his legacy alive through the music.”
