With Summer in almost full-swing, we can expect artists to start serving anthems for sun-scorched days and breezy Summer nights. Los Angeles native DCMBR aims for the latter in his latest offering, “Talk.” The seductive new record finds the gifted rapper and singer in his element delivering melodic vocals primed for the bedroom.
A set of minimalistic synths echo at the start of the track creating an intimate space for DCMBR’s introduction into the track. DCMBR weaves between singing and rapping effortlessly, serenading listeners with his lofty vocals and then delivering a straight-forward set of bars that turn up the heat of the song’s sensual sensibilities. The artful balance between singing and rapping from the West coast bred musician over the upbeat production creates a playful energy that is only reinforced by his provocative lyrics that champion honesty. DCMBR is done playing games. We were fortunate enough to catch up with DCMBR about his latest single, where he said,
‘Talk’ is the cut the BS type song and tell me what it is type joint. No beating around the bush, ima tell you what’s good. My inspiration was a tastefully energized bedroom desire a midday vibe or a late-night mood.”
This is the second single from DCMBR’s upcoming album, ENDLESS WINTER, due on June 28. If “Talk” is any reflection of the subject matter we will get on his impending album, I think it is safe to say we are in for a treat. Show your support for DCMBR by following him on Twitter and Instagram.
