My latest fresh find is a rapper/producer from Tucson, Arizona who I think has all of the potential to turn some serious heads this year. Torrence Wade, AKA T-Wade, has been rapping and making music for some time now, but over this past year, the 26-year-old artist has been consistently putting out music that is definitely worth a listen.

His First Fruits project was a compilation of tracks that were dropped at the beginning of every month, and while they all went together quite seamlessly, each song had a different theme and message which was effortlessly unpacked through his vivid storytelling. The recurring releases were very refreshing to see, especially when you take into account how sporadic musicians can be with their music.

Coming off of the First Fruits project, Torrence is back today with a brand new trend that is expected to catch fire. On any given Tuesday, the Tucson native will drop a music video on his Instagram. His latest, that just dropped yesterday, has been my favorite thus far. In his new video entitled “NINETEEN,” T-Wade takes us down memory lane as he recounts a pivotal moment in his life. The self-produced track features a dope sample that is guaranteed to make you sit up in your chair and take a listen, and the visuals are simple yet very effective as the main goal is to make it seem like we are having a personal conversation with the rapper. T-Wade has a mature flow that has been cultivated over his years of making music, but nonetheless, you will be able to see his poise and control as you watch.

I could go on and on about this one, but it’s about time you guys checked it out for yourselves. I’ve attached the youtube link below, so give it a listen and let us know what you think. If you’re a fan of T-Wade make sure to follow him on his social media accounts here and here. Enjoy!
