For anyone that reads Lyrical Lemonade on a consistent basis, I’m sure you’re aware of a supremely-talented Massachusetts artist by the name of YOUNGFACE. From his unmatched versatility to the combination of natural talent and countless hours that he puts into his high-quality output of music, there’s simply no reason not to love the MA representative, and today, he reminds of this by churning out yet another fantastic single, “Summer Cute.”
Acting as an ode to a girl who makes the summer months some of his best, this fun, bubbly offering takes a step back from YOUNGFACE’s more ambitious recent efforts and simply decides to enjoy the moment. There’s nothing more refreshing than an artist who truly loves what they do and doesn’t take themselves too seriously, and by all counts, such is the case with YOUNGFACE, just as we see here. Look at the cover art for proof.
With this in mind, “Summer Cute” may be something quick to keep listeners in tune for what’s next, but it’s also a chance to sit back and think about the pure joy that an artist can experience from their creativity. From the first second to the last, this one is a notably enjoyable listen and definitely something that I’ll have on repeat in the weeks to come, so don’t sleep.
