Emotional clarity is a virtue, and quite often, I find that my best moments of introspection in this context arrive at the hands of music. Every once in a while, I’ll find that my entire mindset can shift based on the lyrics of a song, and more often than not, this occurs when an artist is truly able to capture a profound idea/emotion and package it in a way that listeners can resonate with. Doing just this in her own, uniquely alluring way, Raveena is back on our pages with her brand new single, “Stronger.”
At its core, “Stronger” feels less like it speaks to listeners and more like Raveena speaking and reflecting to herself. The lyrics take on vulnerability with a devout hunger for the aforementioned clarity of mind, and resulting is a deeply candid account of Raveena’s inner relationship with strength, specifically in the context of love and the valuing of oneself.
With this, in regards to songwriting, few artists right now come across as genuinely exciting as Raveena, as her ability to create a shared sense of community between the listener and the artist is truly second to none. Every time I listen to Raveena, I feel as though I’m speaking to an old friend who knows everything about me, and for this reason and so much more, I can’t wait to see and hear more from Raveena in the future. Deservedly so, she’s on a path to inevitable stardom, with her forthcoming debut album acting as the first stop on the way!
