Today we are honored to premiere a brand new record by Chicagoan Ausar Bradley featuring Cii La’ Cole and Plainro titled “Street Clothes.” If I had to use one word to describe this track, I would say refreshing, as this soulful type of rap is nothing short of a breathe of fresh air in this over-saturated music scene. This tune is the first single off of Ausar’s forthcoming EP titled “The Six Page Letter,” which is set to release this April. I asked Ausar to describe what this song means to him in his own words, he replied: “This song is about how many times people are scared to show the world who they really are. So they put up this front… A covering if you will, that helps them fit in and seem attractive to those around them. And it’s not until you’re truly comfortable with being yourself, and bearing your all, that you can really let that weight go.” Some pretty deep & thoughtful words to tag along with an even more nostalgic record, take a listen to the new material below.
