We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. Upon his return from jail, New Jersey native RetcH is not an artist that you want to sleep on. He’s back with a vengeance, and only proving this point with a strong emphasis, the New Jersey native is here today with his homecoming mixtape, Still Up. Let’s just say that if you thought RetcH lost his touch while he was away, you couldn’t have been more wrong. The rising talent returned to the spotlight with a sharper pen than ever, and within the eerie, ominous atmosphere that this tape creates production-wise, RetcH finds his sweet spot by means of blood-curdling lyricism and unforgiving descriptions of the streets that he was raised in. After his first few singles after coming home, I knew that RetcH was back on track, but admittedly, I didn’t expect a project as clear-cut as this one. Not one song goes to waste, and only 8 tracks long, this tape entertains throughout. Be sure to listen to Still Up below and support RetcH’s ambitious comeback to the game.
