Fresh off the success of his sophomore effort, Earl Sweatshirt releases a project called Solace. In recent interviews Earl talked about the project briefly and vaguely – but, he did mention that the project was dedicated to his mother and their newly rekindled relationship. Their relationship was strained due to the fact that during what was believed his rise to fame, his mother sent him to a boarding school in Samoa. Since then, Earl has experienced success as an artist and gaining the attention of rap heavyweights such as Kendrick Lamar, who recently called Earl his favorite rapper. Solace is as Earl as ever. He always toes the line of being completely open, yet mysterious. The video was uploaded to YouTube with the user comment, “music from when i hit the bottom and found something.” We hope you find something in his raps as well.
