There’s an understated power to Cautious Clay’s music.
Often driven by the crooner’s dynamic vocals, it is tender and loaded with emotion, but still echoes deep. His music always finds a way to stick with me. I’m not simply talking about staying in rotation — although that’s not to say his Table Of Context EP hasn’t been — but I find myself thinking about it and feeling it after I’m done.
His latest piece to draw me in is the video for “Sidewinder.” A single, continuous shot of Clay meandering in place as images are projected behind him f, the visuals do a great job of hypnotizing you and really getting you lost into this surreal world he constructs. Combined with Clay’s soothing, layered crooning, the video makes “SIDEWINDER” an almost hypnotic experience.
To get further entranced by Clay, I recommend checking out his Table Of Context EP. For now, however, be sure to watch the new video for “Sidewinder” below!
