Chase Walsh, better known as Worry Club returns to Lyrical Lemonade with an excellent new release titled “Sex & Candy.” Following the release of his equally impressive track “Work Out,” Walsh’s new offering employs a mean electric guitar to complement Worry Club’s sensual vocals. The gradual pace leading up to the drum & guitar dominated chorus creates addictive moments that ironically underline the song’s title. What makes the record fascinating in many respects is the familiar somber tone from Worry Club blended with an electrifying melody. As a result, the listener is enticed to hit repeat, just as one may be inclined to eat more pieces of their favorite candy. For whatever reason, I randomly pictured a badass scene from the TV series Peaky Blinders as Thomas Shelby leads his crew from the front lines. Stream “Sex & Candy” below and pre-order Worry Club’s first physical (cassette) release!
