North Carolina’s Tino Szn is back with his first full-length project of 2022 entitled ‘Sentient’. This project has been a long time coming for the Gastonia, NC emcee and serves as a solid follow-up to his mixtape 4 Seasons which dropped last year. While being another year older now at 18, you can really see the growth and development with Tino in his sound. His wordplay and song structuring have improved immensely from the previous tape to ‘Sentient’. The stand-out tracks on this project are “Drowning Out”, “Danny Phantom”, “Vetements Coat” and “Right Here.” I believe that what separates Tino from many kids his age is that he’s always going to have a little something for everyone on his project. So typically when you listen you’ll hear different favorites from various listeners. While there are vast improvements on this project Tino like many other artists have areas they can tighten up. With him being so young, there’s plenty of time to fine-tune those areas and his sound for the future.
