Rsieh Raxan is an artist out of California who dropped one of the smoother projects I’ve heard from a rising artist in 2023. Rsieh’s self-titled project that was released today serves as his own birthday gift to us as the now 20-year-old shows talent beyond his years on this record. Running through this album for the first time the one thing I can conclude is that the traditional R&B listeners are going to fall in love with this kid. Rsieh Raxan’s sound takes me back and makes me feel like I’m back in the mid-2000s when I was listening to R&B artists like Llyod, Mario, and Marques Houston. Of course, the sound is more modern and current today but the overall mood and content give you all the feels of that era of R&B. I’m looking forward to diving into this album and his discography over the weekend. Rsieh Raxan could be a sneaky name to watch out for in the 2024 R&B landscape.
