As a consequence of the remarkably fast pace at which the music world moves in today’s day and age, few and far in between are the offerings that we find ourselves actually revisiting for more than a week after a song or project’s initial release. It’s becoming harder and harder to attract returning listeners, but here today with a creative way to combat this is an artist by the name of mwami with his latest offering, the rektless variety pack.
Featuring two remixes of his energetic single, “rektless,” this ingenious effort directs listeners back to the magic of the original song, now placing it within two different styles for audiences to enjoy. In such a way, from the “nyah riddim” version to the “club edit” (my personal favorite), mwami is able to make a lasting push on an already-great offering, bypassing a struggle that so many artists face today in the process.
That said, whether you decide to click play for the music itself or for the concept of this release, I highly recommend giving the rektless variety pack a spin. Mwami is an incredibly talented artist, and as shown with these two remixes, he clearly has the energy and creativity to attract and maintain an audience. Don’t sleep!
