Atlanta rapper Xhulooo is one of my very favorite artists of the new underground wave that is currently right at the first stages of changing the guard of popular artists as many once-popular names are beginning to phase out and the youth begins to establish themselves more. Iankon supplied the glittery and bouncy instrumental that was an ideal backdrop for Xhulooo to float on the beat in his distinct manner. I love Xhulooo’s delivery and there are few artists who can match his energy or happy-go-lucky vocal disposition while still having a certain gruff texture to his crescendoes at the end of his bars that are accented by his addicting higher-pitched “WOOHOO” adlib that is sure to be one of your new favorites. Xhulooo has been building a formidable fanbase for a while now and is poised to truly take over in the next year and I can’t wait to hear the directions he takes his sound in.
