Problemz – [Lou Era] ft. [Tibby]

This joint is an absolute contradiction, in the best way. Lou Era and Tibby have mastered the “turn-up” and tragedy in one track. If it’s one thing Chicago rap artists do best, it’s speaking on the struggle and having you juggin’ at the same time. Balancing the real and still being pleasing to listeners isn’t always an easy task.

“Roll a blunt for my n*ggas that ain’t here to see a new day,”

is a line you can only relate to if you’ve grown up with violence lingering in your backyard. In order to be great, you have to be vulnerable with your audience. Instead of glamorizing this industry, Era and Tibby make it known its not all money and drugs. And if the drugs are around, its to help them cope with the bullsh*t. LeeBoi on the production, gives us something erie in the beginning, then hitting you with a signature Chicago banger. Lou Era and Tibby let us know “they got problemz” and this music is their only relief.
