Man oh man! As you know, nothing brings me more joy than being able to highlight some of the sickest talent on our pages! For those of you who were looking for something to change the whole trajectory of your Tuesday, look no further. Lyrical Lemonade regulars, 99 Neighbors just dropped a brand new track that is set to make some serious noise!
Before I get into the song though, I want to make sure I also take the time to congratulate the creative team for some big things that have gone down. Just yesterday, the members of 99 Neighbors inked a label deal with Nice Work and Warner Records which is a partnership headed by Chance The Rapper’s manager, Pat Corcoran. I would say I was surprised by this news, but it was truly inevitable. Ever since hearing their music, I knew that 99 Neighbors had a bright future ahead of them. When you look at the group, all you see is a whole lot passion, a whole lot of hard work and a whole lot of love. This accomplishment is so well deserved and I’m so hype for all of the things they’re going to cook up for us.
Now, back to the track. This new offering is entitled “Fake Pods” and it’s definitely something you will not want to miss. If you’ve heard their other songs, the production is always incredible which leaves room for the vocalists and rappers to add their own flavor to whatever is laid down. On “Fake Pods”, Sam Paulino, HANKNATIVE and Swank take the lead and drop their own bars that truly set the tone for this entire track. What’s even better than this song release is that the team decided to drop a video with it as well and it doesn’t disappoint either. The video follows the three rappers as they explore the outdoors life, all while spitting fire and hitting the woah whenever it fits best. The care free vibe and nature of the entire visual will put your mind at complete ease.
What I love most about the whole entire 99 Neighbors group is simply what they represent. They’re all just abunch of hard working individuals who believe in their art and made it come to life. They are embodying the American Dream of directing your own future and it’s so cool to see.
I’ve attached the YouTube link down below to their new video to “Fake Pods”! Check it out when you get the chance and let us know what you think! Enjoy!
