Ohio native Doobie has released an absolute slapper for the remix of his most recent single “Power”. Teaming up with arguably one of 2019’s hottest artists DaBaby, this remix takes the impressive song to new heights.
Doobie is an artist that has been on my radar for some time, dropping a slate of singles over the past year that varies from drug-addicted love ballads to raunchy floor-stomping anthems. Doobie’s raspy voice is what sets him apart, allowing him to morph the unique sound into various styles. On his verse this skill is on full display, bouncing between gliding over the beat with ease while still being able to bring up the intensity as the song kicks into 5th gear.
This is by far Doobie’s biggest collaboration to date and DaBaby definitely delivers. As of late, DaBaby has been drawing comparisons to a mailman by the way he’s been delivering on a consistent basis. He starts things out incredibly hot leading up to equally as hard verses from Doobie and Icewear Vezzo. This song is a great step in the right direction for Doobie, and it will be interesting to see what other collaborations are to come now that he begins to branch out.
