Based out of Atlanta — a city constantly filled to the brim with buzzing talent — Lil Gotit has masterfully paved his own lane away from that of his peers. Simply by curating a unique flow and maintaining a smooth, almost wavy style, Gotit has found his footing and is now well on his way to stardom, making for one of ATL’s most exciting new artists to come out in recent memory. Today, pushing things yet another step forward, Gotit is back on our pages with a brand new release, “Pop My Shit.”
Just as we’ve seen with several of his past offerings, the latest from the ATL representative places a heavy focus on cadence and pace. Gotit’s X-factor, at least in my opinion, is his ability to cut and piece together lines in a way seamlessly woven to fit his individualistic style, and “Pop My Shit” puts just this on full display for the world to hear and love.
In addition, only adding fuel to the fire here, the video for “Pop My Shit” takes the crowd-embracing energy of the instrumental and translates it perfectly onto the screen, using scenes of Gotit and an entire mob of followers as its army of choice. With his team behind him and nothing but the top ahead, each word develops a newfound sense of meaning in the context of Gotit’s career, and the result is a release just as powerful sonically as it is visually.
That said, don’t miss out on this one — be sure to peep the latest from Lil Gotit at the link below and let us know what you think in the comments!
