Big Havi is an artist that has made an appearance on our website once or twice in the past, and today he is back with the release of his new album titled “Personal Problems 2”. I wasn’t too familiar with Big Havi before I dove into this project, I had heard a song or two prior to this, but this was a relatively new artist to me. I just ran through these eleven songs featured on the tracklist a couple of times, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good this release was. There were a handful of excellent features on this tape from Lil Keed, Slimelife Shawty, OMB Peezy, Seddy Hendrinx + D’Rick who each gave solid contributions to their respective tracks, but Big Havi was clearly the focal point of all of the songs. Big Havi can, for lack of a better term, simply rap his ass off. He can speed it up + rap rapidly or slow it down and get more introspective on certain tracks like “So Many Emotions”. I came into this tape not knowing too much about Big Havi, but I loved what I heard + I plan on keeping this project in rotation for many weeks to come. Stream this new album via Spotify below!
