The smooth vocal stylings of Joe Saan are on full display on his latest two-song release, OXFORD / FORREST. Although this is Joe Saan’s first appearance on Lyrical Lemonade the talented musician has been buzzing for quite a bit as he continuously delivers stirring R&B records that are not only beautifully crafted but also lyrically impressionable. His latest two-pack release is another flagship reminder of the Missouri-based musician’s overwhelming talent and potential. The bit-sized release’s opening record, “OXFORD,” utilizes a steady pace created by drum-led instrumentation allowing Saan’s to artfully glide over the airy but potent sonic landscape. Comprised of a bit of bounce and electrifying chords, Saan delivers a record that exudes longing and intimacy. As the opening record comes to a close we transition into the “FORREST,” a more driving production that finds Saan providing angelic harmonies and an infectious chorus that calls listeners memories back to the unshakeable conviction of the critically acclaimed 1994 hit film, Forrest Gump. Assisted by the rap talents of SURFACE GREY, Saan and his feature-mate create a beautifully complimentary record that captures all your imagination and soul. Do not miss out on this rising artist – there is no doubt you will be seeing his name sooner rather than later.
