Ever since I watched the colorful visuals for one of his hit songs, “Sailor Moon”, lilbootycall has remained one of the most charismatic young artists that I’ve seen blow up in the past year or so. His personality, marked by a playful blend of unrivaled honesty and smooth vocals, is nothing short of infectious, and considering the fact that he also possesses an abundance of legitimate musical talent, the stocks are only rising for the Texas native and his eccentric sound. Today, he visits Lyrical Lemonade with one of smoothest offerings to date and a new personal favorite of mine – a single titled “OJ In My Gucci Bag”. Produced by Kaji, this track is a melancholy ode to the troubles that come with broken love, and in its melodic sound, crosses over and becomes somewhat of an anthem for anyone going through a breakup. It’s triumphant at times and damaged at others, hence the contrasted imagery of the Gucci Bag in the garden of flowers that we see in the artwork.
