Oh Ooh – [Nick G]

West side hipster, Nick G. has just released his bouncy single Oh Ooh.  This track initially caught my eye because of the affiliation he has with Chicago super group, Wasted Youth.  Nick has been creating a buzz for himself around the city performing at venues such as the ESO Theater on the west side and he also recently performed at the Subterranean as well.  I wasn’t sure what to think when the track first came on, but once Nick came in, I knew it was a hit. The production was handled by FREEGOLD, which is a production group currently comprised of Freewillbeats and 1sauney.  This track is a brand new sound that you can’t find anywhere else.  I had the chance to catch Nick performing this song live a week or two ago and it definitely has a festival, summer bonfire feel to it. During the verses, Nick raps of the uncertainty of those around him.  The people that he surrounds himself with have noticed a change in Nick and they are skeptical.  But I think the best part about it is that the more those people are confused, the more Nick is sure that he is going to be successful no matter the path he chooses.  The track comes together as fun, easy to relate to, and sing-songy. Check out Oh Ooh below and let us know what you think.
