New Music Friday With $NOT, BabyK Osama, Rich Amiri, and Yella Beezy!

Friday is always the best day of the week with new releases from some of our favorite artists! First up we have 19-year-old BabyK Osama with his latest single “Ticket” on all streaming platforms. The Simple Stupid / Geffen Records signee has been making some noise ever since he was released from prison last spring. In a short span of time, the Jacksonville rapper has released five projects and hasn’t shown any signs of letting up anytime soon. In the visuals for his latest single, BabyK Osama was surrounded by exotic cars as he raps over a feverish instrumental. His signature Jacksonville flow mixed with his blazing wordplay created a head-spinning single. I look forward to watching his career advance this year!

Gold-selling recording artist Yella Beezy delivered his latest mixtape titled Bad Azz Yella Boy. Yella rose to fame in 2017 after releasing his mixtape Lite Work, Volume which included his hit record “That’s On Me” which debuted at 37 on Billboard’s Hot 100 charts and earned 200M+ video views. His career has been a journey, but his latest mixtape is a testimony of all the work Yella has been putting in and finally enjoying the seeds of his labor. As Yella’s first full-length project since the release of Baccend Beezy in 2019, the 16-track album includes features from Icewear Vezzo, Mozz, and production by Murda Beatz, Blame It On Monstah, Keise On Da Track, and more. The mixtape’s cover art for this project was inspired by the classic designs Cash Money and No Limit used over two decades ago.

$NOT new single “IMMACULATE” is a clear example of how diverse his music catalog can become. On his latest track, $NOT delivers an immersive sonic experience with layered production of a complex yet relaxing arrangement of keys, drums, and raindrops. This record was unlike anything I have heard from the New York-born artist, however, we were definitely not complaining! Produced by Canadian producer Geeohhs, $NOT easily flows between verses as he creates another dope record. I look forward to more experiments in his music this year.

As I stated in the past, Rich Amiri is going to be a major artist very soon. With each release, he proves once again why you should keep him on your radar this year. Today, he released another banger titled “Can’t Die” produced by the dynamic duo of Taz Taylor and Cxdy of Internet Money. Directed by Declan Kyle, the video pays tribute to The Matrix, Dexter, and more.
