Over a year back at this point, somewhere along the journey of trying to find new music to cover, I found myself deep into a growing niche of rising Atlanta-bred artists, and ever since, I haven’t been able to look away. In a city filled with countless established acts and an endlessly growing number of burgeoning talents, it’s always refreshing to watch a new pocket of promising talent arise, and even better is to witness the overwhelming support and collaboration valued throughout this pocket. Today, bringing these ideas to life with two of the finest acts from the scene, Jazz Ingram and Rixxky Bands are here to deliver an incredible new offering, “Motive.”
Just in time for the summer, this offering rides a masterful line between sun-soaked, uplifting melodies and snarling lyrics. Bands and Ingram are certainly unique and different in their respective styles, but the string that brings this offering together is the shared animation between the artists as they truly strive to entertain with each and every line.
With that said, Atlanta is a hotspot for talent right now, but as with every hotspot, the consequence can be originality. Thankfully, artists like Jazz Ingram, Rixxky Bands, and several others are leading a charge of their own with left-of-center sounds and bountiful energy, paving their own lane in Atlanta without compromising their individuality.
