If you listen close enough to Terrance Brown’s new cut, “Mood” you can hear the Louisiana product’s roots at play.
Producer STUNNAHBEATZ tucks a chiming, anthemic bounce into the effort that gives me some New Orleans, bounce-beat energy. It’s there, but it’s very subtle because it’s layered under a booming trap beat that has more attitude and grit than your average bounce-beat. Vocally, Brown, too, gives the song a modern, darker edge with unbridled energy and an arsenal of flows. What solidifies the track as a high-energy banger (and brings it back to the Lousiana sound), is the hook. Repetitive and energetic, it begs to be screamed in a sweaty, packed live setting.
As of now, “Mood” appears to be a loosie, but be sure to throw Brown a follow, to stay up to date on any new releases.
