Money in The Bank – [BAKA NOT NICE]

For approximately the entire second half of 2017, one song stuck out in my playlist as simply invincible – it would never be taken out of my collection despite countless listens, and no matter how many times I ran it back in a row, the message of the track hit me just as hard as the first time. This song was “Live Up To My Name” by Baka Not Nice. Due to the substantial success of this track, he was officially signed to OVO later in the year after being a longtime affiliate of the label, and he went on to cap off his incredible year with a few other singles – one of which was the intoxicating “Money In The Bank”. This track provides the same triumphant energy of “Live Up To My Name” with its aggressive flows and unforgiving charisma. Today, Baka is here on our pages to revisit the standout single with accompanying visuals directed by Edison Sigua. The video follows Baka and his crew around as the hit some licks and showcase their luxurious lifestyles with women, drinks, cars, and more to set the atmosphere, only solidifying its status as an anthem for the rest of 2018. Also notable is in the opening scene when the following quote appears on the screen: “The only time you should look back is to see how far you’ve come.” Baka’s stocks are rising and his music reflects this success seamlessly, so be sure check out the visuals for “Money In The Bank” below and keep this song on repeat as you get to the bag in the new year.
