MOMMA SAID – [TEXAS BOYZ]

The TEXAS BOYZ, comprised of Nick Gee, TAY MULETTI, and YUNG BUCKETS are flying in hot with their latest drop and accompanied visual, “MOMMA SAID.” The trio is from Missouri City, Texas, where they’ve developed unique personas and character that show in their music. The enjoyable, uptempo energy from the group gives off a radiant energy that’s embedded once you hear the track. “and boys’ heads start bobbin’ when they hear my shit.” They’re not wrong, providing a steady, fun flow that you can’t help but dance to. The group talk of life in the fast-lane, with themes of women, fighting, and brain-altering substances that they all experience living as hot artists in Texas.

The visual, filmed by John Rogers and edited by dove.less portrays the trio living life with top-shelf liquor bottles, women, pools, and unique fashion. The video has a bit of a retro feel to it, with multiple-framed shots, and usage of hilarious props and skits. The artists are constantly dancing and smiling, which further gives off the light vibe of the track. The video producers did an exceptional job of translating the song vibrations perfectly into a physical representation.

“I’m startin’ to feel like Floyd, with the hits.” TEXAS BOYS certainly have a hit with this one, and if it’s any preview as to what’s to come on their upcoming album, Crawling Out of Houston, we should expect nothing less than more bangers on the way. The video was released just five days ago and has amassed nearly 4,000 views in that short time.
