One thing that I pay close attention to is when I hear artists I respect talk about some other artists that they listen to, so a couple months ago when the homie Matty Wood$ said that he was rocking with fellow St. Louis creative Anwar, I had to check him out. Since that time I have covered Anwar once or twice and I have found myself liking his material, and today he is back with his brand new release titled “MLK”. When I first glanced at the title and cover photo I instantly thought of the Young Thug record with the same name & picture, and I was expecting him to possibly do a remix on that Thug beat, but he took his own slow paced approach to this track. He sliced through the LoydFlannel production with multiple different styles, showing his creativity and flashes of potential, I expect to see him continue to grow as an artist this year & eventually make some real noise. Anyways, listen to this brand new tune below!
