Music, at its very core, has always been somewhat of an escape for me. Whenever I find myself bogged down with work and unable to focus, I step back for a moment and try to find something new to listen to, just as I’ve stumbled upon with the latest project from Atwood, Loverboy.
Arriving in my SoundCloud feed earlier today, Loverboy is a project seemingly made for this very moment. Between the colorful palette of sounds and rejuvenating deliveries, each moment feels like a breath of fresh air, constantly reinventing itself and maintaining the attention of listeners all throughout. Atwood is a machine of energy that never stops running, and when matched with such a striking, eclectic selection of sounds and styles, his galvanizing personality takes control as the infectious force that it so naturally exists as.
With this in mind, Loverboy has certainly established itself as a highlight of my week so far, and I wholeheartedly believe that it can deliver the same for a wide base of other listeners. From the rap-sing hybrid deliveries to the ingrained sense of soul here, Loverboy is sure to reach the core, so don’t sleep.
