Life Support – [Youngboy Never Broke Again]

September 24th marks the much-anticipated release of Youngboy Never Broke Again’s studio album SINCERELY, KENTRELL, which surely will eye top charts as many of his other projects have in the past. As eager fans and listeners anxiously await the Baton Rouge, Louisiana native’s new artistry, they’ve been given a glimpse into what the album will entail.

Last week, Youngboy unveiled yet another single titled, “Life Support,” to go along with certified hits; “Nevada,” “White teeth,” and “Toxic Punk,” which have already had major success both individually and in aid with promotion of his new project.

“Life Support” begins with a light, hi-hat emphasized piano melody that a familiarized listener can immediately categorize as a “Youngboy-style” beat. The smooth, melodious beat transitions into the first verse immaculately, with the first line: “Comme des Garcons, she say she like on me,” radiating a harmonic flow that will continue throughout the remainder of the joint. Youngboy talks about struggles with women as it coincides to his life in the streets, and it’s evident trying to balance the two has taken its toll as he vents to the mic.

The Official Video for the track currently ranks #2 on YouTube’s trending music chart, and has compiled 5M views in only five days. Youtube continues to be a major platform of success for YB, with a staggering amount of videos hitting multi-million views in ridiculously short time periods. This video itself contains older clips of Youngboy, combining segments from studio sessions, live performances, and everyday life to supplement viewers until he’s able to create more individualized videography once he’s released.
