Boston singer and songwriter Jaalid is an artist who is under the Alano Records imprint with a bright future. His upbeat new single “Knicks Game” is a perfect blend of the current sound of r&b combined with the traditional 90’s values. This track fits in seamlessly with the overall concept of his debut album that dropped on July 15 entitled It’s Not That Bad. The 11 track album serves a solid major debut of the potential that lies within Jaalid. The Massachusetts native provided some background information and gave some insight into the theme of “Knicks Game.”
Jaalid states via Complex, “It stemmed from real relationship encounters I’ve had in the past where everything felt like cat and mouse. The roles would reverse depending on the situation but no matter what they weren’t even on the same team or the winning team (hence the name).”
