The music of the Santa Clemente, California duo DWLLRS, formerly DWELLERS, is proving themselves to be a safe-haven from the craziness of life and a one-way ticket into a world that is comforting, honest, and overwhelmingly optimistic. The tandem, made up of Bren Eissman and Joey Spurgeon, return with their third official single, “It’s Only Up From Here.”
The newly released single is bright, positive, and ultimately reassuring in its delivery. Brought to life by soft vocals, a copacetic contrasting blend of acoustic guitars, swelling drums, and electronic production, DWLLRS creates a hopeful anthem that is driven by its warming chorus. At its core, DWLLRS new song unequivocally accomplishes music’s most magical ability; it transports you somewhere else. As hectic and stressful as times may get, “if we just keep loving, maybe we can go live happily, it’s only up from here.”
