Making his Lyrical Lemonade debut today is Angst, an artist born from the internet that encapsulates all the troubles of growing up in an era of fake fame and constant anxiety. After dropping his 2018 debut EP, Loser, Angst has largely remained quiet only teasing fans of his upcoming project for the better part of a year. It seems as if the wait is over as Angst just released his lead single titled “I’m Not Fine I’m Not Okay” — a pretty dead giveaway of this track as it is an anthem for all those struggling to feel okay amongst others.
One aspect that has made me very intrigued by Angst is his ability to bring the emotion and anguish he feels in daily life to his music, making it incredibly relatable to lonely teens across the globe. Angst began his music career as a producer, working with artists like Tommy Genesis, and has now returned to his roots co-producing this record alongside Undefined. It would seem that his follow up album Good Friends Club is on the horizon, in the meantime stream his latest single and get familiar with his back catalog.
