I was recently scrolling through Twitter comments when I came across a link to a new song by a rapper named Tony E. I clicked on the link and was immediately blown away by what I heard. The song, called “Ice Cold,” is a gritty and raw track that reminds me of something that is adjacent to the lane ASAP Mob used to do when they were coming up. What really sold me on this record was his flow throughout the whole song. I feel as if in rap now we have wave too many people that are derivative of the same handful of rappers. The slightest variations of artists can be the difference in if people will be willing to give your music a chance. If you’re a fan of gritty, underground hip-hop, then you need to check out Tony E’s new single “Ice Cold.” It’s a great track that is sure to leave a lasting impression.
