It’s been a minute since we last heard from Chicago soul singer theMIND. His standout “Summer Camp” project acted as a proper introduction to the smooth and ambient tones of his musical landscape, combined with experimental production from the city’s THEMpeople. theMIND’s latest track, “Ice Blue Bottom”, offers up more of the experimental RnB he’s been homing in on. At times, his vocals feel like 100 different voices layered on top of each other, each layer projecting a mind of its own. THEMpeople come through with more floating vibes and rhythms that build, allowing the vocals to become one with the beat. Get lost in theMIND’s “Ice Blue Bottom”, and with the follow up to “Summer Camp” in the works, expect to hear more from him soon.
